This forest, rich in unique flora, fauna, and tranquil freshwater streams, is facing critical threats from urban sprawl, deforestation, and poaching. With the rapid population growth in Zanzibar, forested areas surrounding Masingini have been converted to residential spaces, placing this natural gem in peril.

We believe in the potential of sustainable tourism to provide alternative income sources for local communities, reducing their reliance on unsustainable practices while fostering a sense of stewardship for the environment.
