Since 2011, Kawa Training Center has grown rapidly, offering professional tourism training to young Zanzibarians. With 80-100 students annually and a dedicated building since 2015, we provide comprehensive education, with 80% of graduates securing employment in a region with high youth unemployment. Our certified programs, endorsed by the Zanzibar Department of Vocational Training, are recognized for preparing students for careers in tourism and hospitality. We focus on empowering women, increasing their enrollment and job opportunities, while promoting sustainability through environmental and cultural initiatives like beach cleanups and heritage walks.
